Dinnington RUFC are delighted to announce the appointment of Drew "Chaps" as club chaplain.
Mental health and wellbeing amongst our members is something very important to us at Dinnington RUFC. As a club this is an important appointment and recognition that having someone like Drew is an important step for the club providing additional support for players, staff, administrators, volunteers and families across the whole club.
If you would welcome someone to:
- Off load about issues beyond the field of play
- Provide support during particularly challenging circumstances

Drew commented " I'm delighted on being appointed as Chaplain of Dinnington RUFC and looking forward to getting to know players, staff, club officials, volunteers and everyone involved with this wonderful club over the next few months.
I won't be arriving empty handed, I will normally bring a decent selection of biscuits. Today everyone recognises the crucial part sport plays in people's health and wellbeing. As club chaplain my role is to encourage and be a good listener and support you whatever difficulties or challenges in life that may come your way. "
Other ways I may help is:
- Helping the kit man putting tackle bags out.
- Being a helping hand with handing out water to the players.
- Welcoming the away team.
That said I'm totally led by the club so my role is not limited to the above.
