As well as the much needed safety measures and upgrade of the security system to keep our Club safe, the re-introduction of a gym, cardio area and exercise classes means we can encourage people and families safely back to the club for healthy and social activities that everyone is crying out for.
The re-introduction of these activities will support the ongoing financial viability of the rugby club as it looks to diversify its services on offer and establish a "new normal" for how local community sports clubs continue to stay in operation whilst coming out of lockdown.
Times are very challenging financially for the club, and whilst we wait for its core activities to return (rugby!) we need to find innovative ways to keep our club maintained and the doors open.
We envisage that through the gym and exercise classes we can safely reintegrate up to 60 adults, attracting those either currently missing out on, or at the risk of missing out on physical and social activities at the direct result of COVID-19. Importantly, it will bring back a secure and long term revenue stream to a club that has lost thousands as a result of lockdown.
